Last updated 3 June 2026. Thirty day refund, no questions.
Thirty day refund, no questions asked. If the file doesn't do what you expected, email hello@externalos.com within 30 days of purchase. We'll refund the full amount, usually within 3 working days.
Every ExternalOS product is a digital file: a document pack, a spreadsheet workbook or a PDF. When you buy, you receive the file and a perpetual licence to use it. When the underlying UK legislation moves, we ship the update to you at no extra cost.
A digital file isn't a pair of shoes. You can't return it. The only honest refund policy is one where the answer is "yes" the moment you ask. If the file doesn't fit your work, that's our problem, not yours.
We read every refund email. We don't use them as an excuse to troubleshoot, cross-sell or delay. The point is to let you buy without risk.
If something is actually broken in the file, a formula that misfires, a legislation update that missed, a broken link, tell us and we'll fix it. That's covered by the perpetual licence, not the refund window.
For change-of-mind requests after 30 days, we can't refund, but we'll always talk it through if something is off.
If you feel strongly enough to chargeback, we would rather just refund you. Email us first. Chargebacks cost both sides money and take weeks to resolve. We won't fight a legitimate chargeback, but a direct refund is faster for everyone.
UK consumers buying from a UK business have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This refund policy is more generous than the statutory minimum. It doesn't replace your legal rights, it adds to them.
